A genuine joy, Gravity Falls is ideal kids TV, introducing fun ideas while also exploring the 'big feelings' we have as we grow. It perfectly recreates the experience of learning about different cryptids as a kid, which is exactly what it's about.

Gravity Falls may technically be a children's show, but I found it to be more enjoyable, well-written, and high-quality than a lot of adult shows. The episodes stand well on their own as funny, sitcom-like installments, but there is also a larger, on-going plot too. The humor is fantastic, the characters are multifaceted and seem almost real because of how well they are written, and overall, it blends fantasy and real-life elements very well.
